Bag of Bones

Bag of Bones was written after I had watched the movie The Revenant. I wanted to catch the essence of the evil characters – the indians. Something dangerous going from village to village, in a small boat down the river, with a need to fill its Bag of Bones. – Kjell

Whether Kjell designed the prelude to their single “Bag of Bones” to make the listener’s stomach lining reel like it has been replaced with rocks it’s hard to say. But what is perceptibly evident is the fact that Kjell has an alchemic approach when it comes to creating eerie Alt Rock.

The soundscape was never built to sit comfortably in any genre, instead it was created to disturb. But let’s face it, the current societal structure is abhorrent -no matter where you happen to be in the world right now. We should be disturbed – and Bag of Bones is the perfect reminder of the fact that we’d rather be apathetic to.

Kjell teamed up with Orion’s Shadow to create the single which any fans of Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds are sure to appreciate. If you don’t get chills by the time this track fades out, you might want to check if you have a pulse. Amelia Vandergast
